Perfil

Ernesto Contreras (b. Veracruz, Veracruz, 1969). He did his undergraduate studies at the Centro de Estudios en Ciencias de la Comunicación, and later went to the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos at UNAM where he specialized in direction. He has presented his short films in festivals in Latin-America, USA, and Europe. In 1999 and 2000, he was awarded the Mayahuel de Oro at the Guadalajara International Film Festival. In 2004, his thesis project Los no invitados won the Ariel award for best short fiction. His first feature film is Párpados azules/Blue Eyelids.
